How to outrank a competitor page

Three steps, about fifteen minutes for your first page. Everything below assumes you've added an AI key.

Your setup

1
Create your account
1

Add your AI key + brand

Open Settings and paste an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini — it's encrypted on your account and never shown to your browser. While you're there, set your brand voice, audience, author bio and offers; every rewrite uses them. Open settings →

2

Find a competitor's ranking pages

On the tool, enter a competitor domain and an optional target keyword, then hit Find ranking pages. Traffic Thief pulls their sitemap, filters out utility pages, and shows each page's title and meta. Open the tool →

3

Rewrite and beat the original

Tick the pages you want and hit Rewrite selected. Each result scores the original against your new version across Optimization, Readability, Naturalness, Featured snippet, AI Overview and Trust. Publish only when you're clearly ahead.

4

Optimize the draft

Send any rewrite to the Optimize content tab for live scoring, a term checklist, Improve with AI, real-data backing, image prompts and an interactive-tool builder.

5

Save and publish

Save the work as a campaign so it appears on your dashboard. Connect WordPress in Settings to post rewrites straight to your site as drafts — one at a time or in bulk.

Good habits

Pick pages, not domainsBeat one strong page at a time; that's how you actually move rankings.
Edit before you publishThe AI writes the draft — your judgement makes it publishable.
Keep the keyword honestTarget what the page is really about, not what you wish it ranked for.
Re-score after editsThe Optimize tab updates live; chase green, don't over-edit.

FAQ

What counts as a rewrite?

One AI-written rewrite. The free trial includes 10. Finding pages, saving campaigns, scoring and optimizing existing text don't count.

Where do my API keys go?

Encrypted and stored on your account, used only server-side for your requests. They're never returned to the browser.

Which AI model should I use?

Any in the dropdown. Bigger models write the strongest copy; cheaper ones are faster and fine for drafts. Switch any time in Settings.

Do I need WordPress?

No — it's optional, only for pushing rewrites as drafts. Otherwise just copy the article out.
